Don't miss out in our new AWANA program on Wednesday nights at First Baptist. Every Wednesday @ 6:15pm.

The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with a delicious dinner in the Fellowship Hall. $5 each or $15 for the whole family.  The AWANA program begins a little after at 6:15 p.m. in the children's sanctuary. Adult Bible Study begins at 6:15 p.m., so while your child in enjoying AWANA, you can also be studying God’s Word!  Check out our small groups section of the website to see which group you would like to try.

AWANA means Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. We get this from the bible verse, 2 Timothy 2:15.  This exciting program helps children become invested in God’s Word, memorizing Scripture and letting God’s truth sink deep into their hearts. AWANA begins for your child when they are at least 3 before the school year begins. It goes through fifth grade.  We have game time, group time, and book time for each age group.

Dean VanBuren is the AWANA Commander, leading the ministry here. Please consider becoming a partner in this ministry by volunteering to help! Contact Monica to begin serving with the children in their classes, as part of the kitchen team or as a driver/ride along adult.
